summer swimwear try-on: the mostly modest edit

Lace overlay modest sexy mom swimsuit with great butt coverage

Swimsuit season is around the corner friends! (Or if you live in South Florida like us, it’s always here so I keep a full wardrobe of swimwear options to fit all the occasions I might need!)

I’m between an XS and S, but always go to a S in swimwear – I don’t want any pinching or having to adjust! Most of these are modest, great to wear with the kids in the pool or at the beach! I’ve thrown in a few date night by the pool options for you and hubs!

I also have to mention, the best thing to go with a swimsuit (along with a killer cover up), is an excellent self tanner. Seriously. Do not skip this step. You will feel so much more confident! Here is the one I used in this try on and I can vouch for it’s confidence boost!

Black lace one piece swimsuit - a sexy modest option to wear with the kids or on to brunch with the girls!

This first one is one of my all time favorites from last year – it’s a dupe of a $120 suit. Both fit incredibly well, the fabric is really expensive feeling, they are amazingly flattering (it looks like a highwaisted two piece with a lace overlay – literally covers all the parts you might want to cover and highlights all the good), but this one is $80 less, or $100 less if you catch the buy one get one FREE sale happening right now!!!

Tropical Floral One Piece bathing suit with light wash denim shorts. This suit is SO flattering, fits securely as a strapless with or without the optional straps, has a double ruffle flounce across the bust that flatters smaller busts, and fits perfectly with great coverage on the butt.

This Tropical Floral suit is one of my new favorites. I cannot tell you enough HOW FLATTERING this one is!! The double ruffle is perfect across the bust (I am small chested and it’s very flattering). The butt coverage is everything you’d want it to be and does NOT look like an “old lady suit” (I live in FL – we see lots of those;), and it has ruching across the stomach, so you could definitely wear this pregnant. Size up 1-2 if pregnant. I am wearing a S which is my usual size in swimwear.

Black Surplice faux wrap top strapless swimsuit worn with black palazzo pants.

I have an old LaBlanca white version of this suit that I have LOVED (linking the tropical print that’s available this year, as well as a solid version, and this limited size leopard print). I was so excited when I saw this in Black and Red! I grabbed the black – I LOVE wearing these to swim, to the pool, the beach, and then out after for whatever the next adventure is! They look like a tube top, and pair perfectly with whatever bottom you want to bring!

I can’t say enough good about this one! It’s leopard (win), the side shirring is adjustable so you can make it flatter ANY body, the fabric and the details feel SO expensive, and it’s under $40. Oh, and it’s nursing friendly! You can’t beat this swimsuit!

Date night wrap one piece swimsuit - great for a trip to the pool with your husband!

This is definitely your date night look! It’s sexy without being too revealing. I love that it’s a tie around style, so you can truly customize and adjust it as you like! This one is SO FUN and affordable so worth it to have in your closet for a fun trip to the pool with hubs!

Black and white stripe strap detail one piece swimsuit on style guide for moms Katherine. Built in faux belt makes it flattering at the waist with great back strap details!

I was probably most excited about this one – I LOVE a great stripe and the strap details on the back and waist of this are perfect! I however have a large butt, and this is a low coverage suit – not something I’ll feel super comfortable with while chasing babies at the beach or pool. If you like a cheeky cut – this suit is FOR YOU! The rest of the details are amazing!

Flat lay styling of

If you’re in the market for a two piece – this top is the CUTEST! I love that it’s chic but playful and the fit is great! TTS in your usual swim top size.

After all this year has held, I am so excited to get some more beach time and pool time in. I think the time outdoors taking proper precautions is so good for the body mind and spirit! Let me know which suit you’ll be wearing on repeat this summer!!
